Bratislava Street Art Festival was co-founded by OZ Euforion in 2011 and has since become a renowned international event in the world of street art. For 15 years, we have been creating street art in Bratislava, and 10 years ago we began developing the Street Art Gallery concept at Kamenné námestie.
We transform grey urban zones into vibrant cultural landmarks. Street art is highly effective in revitalizing neglected urban spaces, and the murals at Kamenné námestie have become must-see attractions for tourists from around the world.
Every mural production is a demanding process that takes months, sometimes years of careful preparation. We work with respect, humility, and dedication to cultural heritage. From obtaining permissions to coordinating with property owners, artists, and communities - we handle every step with professionalism.
BSAF operates under the umbrella of OZ Euforion, a non-governmental organization founded in 2003. Based in Bratislava, we are part of the Eurojeune network with colleagues across all EU member states.
Since 2015, we have been developing the Street Art Gallery concept at Kamenné námestie and the surrounding area. This open-air gallery features monumental works by some of the world's most celebrated street artists.
Created by Slovak artist Lausy Auber, this legendary piece remains a dominant feature in countless photographs of Bratislava's cityscape. The work took three years of preparation before completion.

The Street Art Gallery is freely accessible 24/7. Foreign tourists regularly seek out and photograph these works, making them among Bratislava's most photographed contemporary landmarks.
We aim to complete the Street Art Gallery at Kamenné námestie and expand to nearby areas, inviting more companies and organizations to join our street art family and support public space enhancement.
For each project, we conduct a worldwide competition to select the perfect artist. We consider artists from across the globe - USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, France, Italy, and beyond. The selection is based purely on artistic fit with the project concept, regardless of origin.
Selected for the L+S memorial mural in 2025, Vincenzo impressed us with his uncompromising professionalism and style that perfectly matched our vision. His work on Dunajská street represents a milestone in Slovak memorial street art.

Large-format street art murals are demanding productions - technically, logistically, and financially. Each project requires months, sometimes years of careful preparation.
Every project begins with an idea. For the L+S memorial mural, the concept came from our team member Pavol Kirsch, an avid vinyl collector who saw the potential in the 1980 LP cover of "L+S Dialógy."
We secure all necessary permissions from property owners, city authorities, and stakeholders. For memorial works, we obtain consent from families and rights holders - nothing is done without knowledge and approval.
We conduct international competitions to find the artist whose style best fits the project concept. We never want to put local artists under pressure, so we keep the selection process open and fair.
Working with all stakeholders, we refine the design to respect cultural sensitivities. For L+S, we replaced the original guns from the photo with Andy Warhol's banana - a nod to both artists' sense of humor and a statement against the sounds of weapons resonating in today's world.
The actual painting typically takes 1-2 weeks of intensive work with scaffolding, lifts, and specialized equipment. The artist works under public scrutiny from day one.
We communicate the project publicly only after completion, avoiding unnecessary pressure during the creation process.

Bratislava Street Art Festival is not funded by the city or through state or grant support. In the rest of the world, cities typically invest the most in street art because it is highly effective in transforming grey zones into vibrant public spaces.
